THE TAILOR OF BANGLADESH
This elderly lady's photograph was advertising the fact that for £1 you could give a Bangladeshi back their sight with cataract surgery. She reminded me very much of my 'The Jubilee Line', and I see her as a companion to her - a contrast in what life offers, and what money can buy. Here she is about 120cms x 90cms on aluminium.

from Pontormo's 'Deposition from the Cross' Santa Felicita, Florence
I love the candy colours and light in this, and his fantastic composition: this is another painting on the way.

another version of 'The luck of Ginger Coffey'
I am working on this old image, because I like the commonplace of the location, and the isolation of the figure.

I have been working on 'The Arnolfini Marriage'
I think I am nearly there now, practising shapes and colours, and thinking of Delacroix's Journal. The 2 figures are now closer, and therefore more friendly.
